About Miss Rockland

Today's young women are faced with many challenges, challenges that compromise who they are as individuals. Defining who they are takes patience, endurance and perseverance. Our pageant will encourage each contestant to gain self confidence, self awareness, individual pride and a greater social awareness. Our goal is for each contestant to improve their ability to communicate effectively and to stand up for their beliefs. We will encourage each contestant to find issues that they feel strong about and to become involved with causes and Organizations that are near and dear to their hearts. Each young lady that enters our pageant will have different goals and we will strive to assist each young lady in their own personal quest.

Regardless of what our contestant's future plans are, this is an Environment that can open many exciting doors, as it has fo us. We're not about encouraging young women to just "win" a pageant. We're truly about young women developing life skills that will help them in every aspect of their lives. We're excited to be able to bring back to you the highly anticipated "2008 Miss Rockland Pageant" and the 1st annual "Miss Rockland Teen Pageant".

As President of Miss Rocklnad Inc. we're proud to bing to you the highly anticipated 2008 Miss Rockland Pageant and the 1st Annual Miss Rockland Teen Pageant. The Miss Rocklnad Pageant and the Miss Teen Pageants are owned and operated by Miss Rockland Inc. We at Miss Rockland Inc. take pride in the fact that not only are we raising awareness for Breast Cancer Research we're educating ourselves as well as our Community on the importance of early detection. The winner of our pageant will recieve an outstanding prize package that will open up many doors for her. In order to provide these opportunities for our contestants and to keep our organization up and running we must rely on the support of our proud sponsors.

We ask that each contestant collect a sponsorship fee from local businesses, family and friends as part of their participation in such and event. The sponsorship fee will go towards the prize package and will cover al cost of the winner (if accepted) to enter into the Miss New York/USA Pageant.
